Royal Ascot 2016 gets started tomorrow on Tuesday, June 14^th.  The opening day of the event is always one of the most exciting race days.  What can we expect this year?

We have a lot of horses coming from international ground to the UK racetrack this year.  That means we are going to see some of the top champions from around the world fighting to claim prizes in the Queen Anne Stakes and other big events.

If you are booking tickets for Royal Ascot 2016, you may have noticed some changes in the enclosures.  The Royal Enclosure is still the Royal Enclosure, but the Silver Ring and the Grandstand Enclosure are no longer listed.  Instead you will see the Windsor Enclosure and the Queen Anne Enclosure respectively.  These are actually the exact same enclosures as last year; the only difference is that their names have changed.  Ticket prices are also marginally more expensive than they were in 2015.

Royal Enclosure

This year if you are booking tickets for Royal Ascot 2016, you have doubtless noticed a few changes from the past.  One of them is different names for the enclosures.  The Royal Enclosure is of course still the Royal Enclosure, but the other two have changed.  What used to be known as the Grandstand Enclosure is now known as the Queen Anne Enclosure.  What used to be known as the Silver Ring has been replaced by the Windsor Enclosure.
