World Series of Poker Europe Moves to France

It was announced yesterday in Las Vegas that the 2011 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe festivities will be moving away from London after 5 years and will be playing out from Cannes, France from 2011 onwards.

The Casino Barrière de Cannes Croisette and the Hôtel Majestic Barrière will host the event that will take place between October 7-21, 2011. In addittion, BarrierePoke.fr will be the new presenting sponsor this year, replacing Betfair.

The qualifying stops will be held in Toulouse, Bordeaux, Lille, Nice, Trouville, Dinard and Enghien before the series moves to Cannes, where the participants spread across 75 tables, double than London's 2010 capacity.
