Royal Ascot Horse Racing Festival
Can you believe it’s almost time for Royal Ascot? The Royal Ascot is one of the biggest horse racing events in the UK and it attracts a lot of attention from horse racing fans and not only.
The meeting takes place every year on the third week of June at Ascot, Berkshire and lasts for five days. Royal Ascot 2017 is scheduled to start on Tuesday, June 20th, and runs through Saturday, June 24th. Each day will feature six different races for a total of 30 exciting events. Each day, the fist race is at 2.30 pm and the last race is at 5.35.
The event starts always on a Tuesday and every day just before the races there is a parade of the Queen and the Royal party along the race track. The Ascot racecourse attracts a great number of people that want to watch the meeting live and has a special day for ladies (Day 3) where fashionable ladies outfits and hats attract a lot of interest.
Royal Ascot is an incredible experience, whether you bet on the races on your computer or you attend in person. If you do get a chance to buy a ticket, you will be joining a posh, stylish crowd from around the world in one of the four available enclosures:
- the Royal Enclosure
- the Queen Anne Enclosure
- the Windsor Enclosure or
- the newly introduced in 2017 Village Enclosure.
Not only is the Royal Meeting one of the most prestigious horse racing events anywhere, but it is also a celebration of British high society.
Here are all five days of Royal Ascot 2017:
- Tuesday, June 20th: On Tuesday, the excitement begins! There are three Group One races on this day, including the Queen Anne Stakes, the King’s Stand Stakes, and the St. James’s Palace Stakes.
- Wednesday, June 21st: This day is usually not as crowded as some of the other days of the Royal Meeting, but it does feature the Group One Prince of Wales’s Stakes. This is a great day to come to the races if you are looking for a more laid-back vibe.
- Thursday, June 22nd: Thursday features the Gold Cup, and is also the most fashionable day at the races.
- Friday, June 23rd: The two big events on Friday are the Group One Coronation Stakes and the Group One Commonwealth Cup.
- Saturday, June 24th: Come to Royal Ascot on Friday for the grand finale—the famous Diamond Jubilee Stakes. As the second British leg of the Global Sprint Challenge, it is one of the most exciting international racing events of the year.

Can I still get tickets to Royal Ascot 2017?”
Yes, you absolutely can, but you need to hurry. As of the time of this writing, tickets are still available for all five days, but they are running out quickly. The site says, “we anticipate that Thursday, Friday and Saturday will sell out several weeks before the event so we recommend that you book soon.”
Also be aware that it is common for prices to increase closer to the event, so the sooner you snap up your tickets, the more money you can potentially save. Here you can find out more about getting tickets for Royal Ascot 2017.
“What if I can’t make it?”
If you can get to Royal Ascot 2017 in person, do it—you will have the time of your life. But if you cannot, you can watch the races online on your UK betting site.
