NBA - News Update
New York Crowdpleaser
Even the most seasoned sports analysts couldn’t have predicted the budding rivalry that’s springing up before our very eyes in New York. And of course, we love it. In fact, at the Brooklyn Nets’s first meeting against the Knicks, the atmosphere resembled that of a deciding playoff game with fans of both teams rallying their teams on. Playing at home with a hyped up crowd the Nets overcame the superior-seeded Knicks to rack up a run of 6 victories the likes of which they haven’t seen since 2003.
Vasquez Puts Hornets above Clippers
The Hornets really needed a win to break their streak of seven losses and thanks to Greivis Vasquez putting up 25 on the board with 10 assists, that’s what they got. Overcoming a team with someone like Blake Griffin on offense is no easy task, but the Hornets managed to prevent Griffin from getting too comfortable resulting in his worst ever scorecard with the Clippers. Even the best players have their off-days so it’s probably a combination of both things that helped the Hornets get this much needed 105-98 win.
Milwaukee stuns Chicago in Impressive Comeback
After being 27 points down deep into the 3rd quarter, the Milwaukee Bucks shocked their opponents, the crowd and most probably themselves by making a legendary comeback and beating the Bulls in a nail breaker 93-92. Ilyasova finally came back to life, scoring a critical 12 points in the 4th quarter as well as a steal, block, and an assist. But it was clear that the Bucks’ victory had nothing to do with a single star performance and everything to do with teamwork by the way they seized opportunities, played a great passing game, and put in a good fight both on offense and defense.
