Sports betting tends to be lumped under the general umbrella of gambling which includes casino games.  This is an understandable comparison, and it’s a pretty accurate one.  Sports betting arguably has aspects in common not only with games like poker that require skill, but games like roulette as well where a fluke can determine the outcome.

You can spend all day talking about best practices for sports betting and still you will have a hard time getting better if you cannot pin down what you are doing wrong.  Sometimes all you need to take a huge leap forward is to recognise a mistake you have been making.  These are largely rookie errors, but even people who have been betting for a long time can make them, especially if betting is a casual pastime.  Even if you wager for fun, though, you want to win.  So ask yourself if you are making any of these mistakes. 

Anyone who follows sports knows that most players are young.  That is true no matter what sport you follow, whether we are talking about football, NFL, basketball, baseball, or anything else.  Not only that, but when you do see older players still on the field, they are often greeted with a fair amount of derision.  That is true even when they are playing well.  And when they play badly, their age is the first thing to blame.

You may have a lot of money to wager on sports.
