Epsom Festival 2011
The Epsom Festival or Investec Derby Festival is amongst the most reputable meetings in the UK Horse Racing calendar.
It is hosted at the Epsom Downs racecourse and includes 2 very exciting races: the Derby and the Oaks.
On the 9th of May it was revealed that William Hill will be the Official Betting Partner of the Festival.
The festival takes place over two days (03 - 04 June) with races starting almost every 30 minutes.
Friday the 3rd of June is the Investec Ladies' Day while Saturday the 4th of June is the Investec Derby Day.
The festival operates under a strict dress code so racegoers will enjoy a posh environment.
The Epsom Festival is the Queen's favourite Horce Racing Fastival.
It is expected that more than £200 million will be wagered on the outcome of the 14 races.
All races at the Epsom Festival are highly competitive with jockeys and horses giving everything they can for a piece of Festival glory.
The two days of one of the most anticipated flat racing festivals of the season are starting with the Princess Elizabeth Stakes on Friday, right through to the Investec Specialist Bank Stakes on Saturday.
The majority of the races are covered live by BBC ( only the last 2 races of each day are not televised)
