CFL – Fight for the Grey Cup
Canadian Football League News
Read how the bookies' favourites (BC Lions, Calgary Stampeders and Montreal Alouettes) are performing in their last games.
BC Lions
A 41-21 loss to Calgary has put the spotlight on a number of weak spots in the Lions’ game. Let’s not forget however that the last two Lions games were played without starting quarterback Travis Lulay so it wouldn’t really be fair to judge this performance as a true benchmark for the Lions’ current form. Lulay will surely be taking the field in the coming games, and definitely for the Western final. This will greatly affect the the Lions’ game and it’s likely we’ll see far fewer turnovers and an overall increase in the team’s confidence.Calgary Stampeders
The Stampeders seem to be living up to their name recently winning all three of their last games and showing some solid play throughout. Receiver Maurice Price has scored a touchdown in each of his last two games, and should be considered a real threat by any opponent. Coming back after a shoulder injury, quarterback Drew Tate seems to be back on his feet, handling the ball well and making some good decisions.Montreal Alouettes
Another team enjoying a triple-win run is the Als. They almost messed up a huge lead against Edmonton but held on despite their defence woes which have become a clear weakness for the team. Although quarterback Anthony Calvillo is credited with his two touchdown passes, he’s also responsible for two interceptions which are just the type of errors that can be very costly in important games. On the upside, thanks to Chris Jennings, the Als running game has improved greatly and will be their main weapon as they move forward.Bet on the Grey Cup with titanbet and get $50 free bonus!
